We worked with this great family to design a playset that would work perfectly for their kids, and take advantage of their existing slope, which was extensive. It's a 6x6 enclosed fort with a wooden floor and 1/2 picnic table down below. When at the picnic table, you can look straight out and see kids on the swings. There is a rockwall, a gangplank which crosses over their existing retaining wall, a 3 position swingbeam with 2 beltswings and a glider. Our first attempt at a treehouse! Built on a single tree, 16" in diameter, and 7' off the ground. The beautiful roofing is red cedar shingle. This amazing structure has a cargo net, a 110' zipline and a sliding escape hatch accessed by sliding the hatch back and climbing up the tree (where the 'v' is). Here we worked to keep a very large pine tree and a smaller dogwood in the design. Worked beautifully with good clearance in the right places.
